Family Information: Photography, Safety & Privacy

At Lauren Anderson Photography, your child’s safety, comfort, and privacy are our highest priorities. We follow strict policies and professional standards to ensure every session is safe, respectful, and enjoyable.

Child Safety & Professional Standards

• We hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and adhere to all relevant child safety and safeguarding policies.

• Photo identification is available upon request at every session.

• All photography takes place in safe, supervised environments.

• We use professional camera equipment only—never personal devices.

Respect for Children

• Children are always treated with respect, care, and sensitivity.

• Participation is completely voluntary—children can choose to take part or stop at any time.

• We prioritize each child’s comfort and emotional wellbeing during sessions.

Consent Matters

• We only photograph children who have confirmed parent/guardian consent.

• We take care to ensure that non-consented children are not photographed or included in the background.

Privacy & Image Security

• Your child’s images are handled with strict confidentiality.

• Photos are:

  • Stored securely on external hard drives

  • Used only for your family to view and purchase

  • Never shared publicly without written permission

Image Delivery & Storage

• Galleries are delivered via a secure, private online system or print options.

• Image files are retained for a limited time:

  • RAW files are stored for approximately 30 days

  • Final edited images are stored for up to 60–90 days after delivery

• After this period, all files are permanently deleted in line with privacy and child safety best practices.

• Sessions are carefully managed to ensure:

  • Children are always supervised where required

  • Safe environments are used (no private or change areas)

  • Equipment is set up to avoid hazards

  • Privacy is maintained at all times
